Seek Solar helps homeowners and businesses in Malaysia compare solar installers by state and category, with SEDA verification shown plainly where it applies.
What this site is
Seek Solar is a directory: a single place to browse, filter, and compare solar panel installers operating across Malaysia's 12 states and territories. Each listing shows the company's categories (residential, commercial, or both), the state and city it serves, qualified technician count where known, contact details, and real reviews where available. Three free decision tools — a Fit Check quiz, a Payback Meter, and an Incentive Checker — help visitors work out whether solar makes sense for their property before they contact an installer.
Where the listings come from
The directory started with 435 installers sourced from SEDA Malaysia's (Sustainable Energy Development Authority) public registry of registered PV service providers. Those base records were then cross-referenced with Google Maps and Google Business listings — only to pull in ratings, review counts, and photos where a confident match could be made, never to decide an installer's registration status.
On top of that original register, Seek Solar is an open directory. Any solar installer operating in Malaysia can list itself directly throughList Your Business, whether or not it already appears on SEDA's register. A self-submitted listing that hasn't yet been cross-checked shows as "Not yet SEDA-verified" rather than being excluded — appearing on Seek Solar has never required SEDA registration.
Why the verification badge matters
The SEDA-verified badge means one specific thing: at the time of listing, the company's details were checked against SEDA's official public registry of registered PV service providers. It is not a paid placement, not a ranking signal tied to advertising spend, and not a guarantee of ongoing compliance or workmanship.
