About FZ Energy
FZ Energy Storage Systems Sdn Bhd (FZESS), trading as FZ Energy, is based in Subang Jaya, Selangor, with additional branch offices in Sabah and Sarawak. It describes itself as a fully Malaysian Bumiputera-owned company supplying and installing industrial battery technologies — sodium/salt, lithium and lead-acid — plus power conversion systems, for utilities, oil & gas, railways, telecom, industrial power plants, microgrids, smart grids and solar hybrid applications.
The company says it has more than 20 years of experience. Its listed projects include replacing batteries for a Solar Hybrid Station at Pulau Larapan for Sabah Electricity Berhad (2023-2024), a solar hybrid system installation across 134 rural schools in Sarawak for Jabatan Kerja Raya (2018-2023), a DC power system upgrade at Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas, and battery supply, installation and commissioning work for Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad, Rapid Rail Sdn. Bhd., Petronas Gas Berhad and Tenaga Nasional Berhad.
Its website names LEONICS as the brand behind its solar charge controllers, bi-directional inverters and grid-connected inverters, and HORIEN by FZSoNick for its salt battery range, but doesn't publish specific warranty terms. Its listed projects are mostly government and utility contracts rather than residential rooftop installations, so homeowners should ask directly about residential project experience and pricing.

Before you get a quote from FZ Energy
- Confirm whether it will install a straightforward home rooftop solar system, since its listed projects and products focus mainly on industrial and utility battery/backup work rather than typical home solar installations.
- Ask for warranty terms in writing, as none are published on its website for its battery, inverter or charge controller products.
- Given its work is mostly with utilities and government agencies, ask for residential customer references specifically.
