About MNA Solar

MNA Green Tech Sdn Bhd, trading as MNA Solar, is based in Kajang, Selangor. It was formerly known as MNA Research Sdn Bhd, and its solar retail brand was previously called MNA Gadgetz before adopting the MNA Solar name. It offers renewable energy consultations, solar installation and equipment supply for on-grid, off-grid and hybrid systems, with a stated focus on residential, agricultural, commercial and industrial customers.

It says it was founded in 2014 as MNA Research Sdn Bhd after receiving an RM1.5 million research grant to develop battery energy storage systems. It launched the MNA Energy brand in 2016, established MNA Gadgetz in 2018 for off-grid and hybrid solar, relocated to its current Kajang Utama office and began solar installation services in 2020, and says it took on commercial, industrial, residential and agricultural solar projects from 2022. Its website lists supply-and-installation work, often as a subcontractor for specific scope items, on systems including a 700kWp self-consumption system for Majlis Bandaraya Seremban and a 105kWp floating solar system at Janakuasa Manjung, Perak.

It operates a dedicated office with training rooms, two warehouses and an inverter repair centre in Taman Kajang Utama, alongside an online shop for solar equipment and components. Several of its listed past projects are labelled 'NEM3.0 – NOVA,' and its website doesn't reference Solar ATAP, which replaced NEM 3.0 on 1 January 2026.

Before you get a quote from MNA Solar

• Ask whether they handle Solar ATAP applications. Their website still describes NEM 3.0, which Solar ATAP replaced on 1 January 2026.
• Several of its listed projects show it acting as a subcontractor for a specific scope (e.g. supplying DC accessories, panel installation without termination) rather than as main contractor — ask exactly what scope it would cover for your project.
• Ask for the specific inverter brand and warranty terms it would use, since its website doesn't publish these.
• It has changed names and brands more than once (MNA Research to MNA Green Tech; MNA Gadgetz to MNA Solar) — confirm you're dealing with the current registered entity.
