About Renosun
Renosun Sdn Bhd, trading as Renosun (or Renosun Group), is based in Alor Setar, Kedah, and was incorporated in 2010. It describes itself as a leading provider of solar PV consultancy, design and installation for residential, commercial and industrial customers in Malaysia's northern region, and also offers off-grid and self-consumption (SELCO) solar systems.
The company says it has installed more than 400 sites since 2011, with more than 80% of its business in the northern region and the rest in Selangor, Perak and Sabah. Its website lists CIDB, Malaysian Photovoltaic Industry Association (MPIA), SEDA and Suruhanjaya Tenaga certificates, though the validity windows shown on several of these — for example, its CIDB certificate covering 10 June 2024 to 15 June 2025 — appear to have already lapsed, so current registration status is worth confirming directly.
Renosun's commercial and industrial systems are described as ranging from kilowatts to megawatts, with optional energy storage and net metering. Its process runs from consultation and documentation through procurement, installation, testing and commissioning, to a handover with user training. Its residential and commercial service pages still describe the NEM Rakyat and Net Energy Metering mechanisms as current, even though the site separately carries a blog post about Solar ATAP replacing NEM before January 2026.

Before you get a quote from Renosun
- Ask whether they handle Solar ATAP applications. Their website still describes NEM 3.0, which Solar ATAP replaced on 1 January 2026.
- Ask to see current CIDB, SEDA and Suruhanjaya Tenaga certificates — the validity windows shown on its website (e.g. its CIDB certificate, valid to 15 June 2025) appear to have already expired.
- Ask which panel and inverter brands they use and get warranty terms in writing — the website only refers to 'high-capacity solar panels' and 'advanced inverters' generically.
- Ask for a named project reference with a system size — its Projects page only shows category filters, without example completed projects or sizes.
