About Solaroo
Solaroo Systems is based in Kota Damansara, Petaling Jaya, Selangor, and is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Pekat Group Berhad, a Bursa Malaysia-listed engineering group. It designs and installs solar PV systems for homes, small commercial and industrial (C&I) properties, and property developments, and also offers off-grid systems, battery energy storage and EV charging.
The company says it builds on Pekat Group's solar C&I work dating back to 2006, and that it has powered more than 7,500 Malaysian homes. Its named projects include a 228.00kWp system at Pelangi Avenue in Johor, a 132.00kWp system at Sunsuria Forum 1 in Shah Alam, a 90.48kWp system for Art Furniture Industries, and systems as small as 6.96kWp in Bayan Lepas. It cites Pekat Group's recognition in the Malaysia Book of Records as the first photovoltaic installer to receive ISO 50001:2011 certification.
Solaroo says it installs LONGi panels only, paired with a microinverter or hybrid-plus-battery setup chosen for each home, and includes operations and maintenance in its all-inclusive quote for the system's lifetime. It offers financing through partner banks with a zero-interest instalment plan, and provides a mobile app for customers to track generation and savings.
