About IPS Technology

IPS Technology (Intelligent Power System Technology Sdn Bhd) is a Bumiputera-owned solar EPCC company incorporated in 1996 and based in Bandar Baru Bangi, Selangor. It covers the full spectrum of solar work — engineering design, EPCC turnkey delivery, feasibility studies, application handling, operations and maintenance, and solar training — for residential, commercial, industrial, large-scale solar (LSS) and off-grid systems, including battery energy storage design.

The company says it has completed more than 130 projects and engineered or installed 125MWp of solar capacity in total. Named projects include a 1.6MWp rooftop and car park installation for the Parliament of Malaysia (2 February 2024 – 1 August 2024), a 5MWp solar farm in Padang Besar, Perlis, a 3.02MWp rooftop system for Robert Bosch Sdn. Bhd. in Penang, and a 198.4kW rooftop system for Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz (HCTM) at UKM.

Its services page groups Solar ATAP guidance together with 'NEM 3.0 & SELCO programme applications', so it's worth asking directly which scheme currently applies. It also runs solar PV training, workshops and R&D partnerships with universities, and says it serves East Malaysia as well as the peninsula.

Before you get a quote from IPS Technology

• Ask whether they handle Solar ATAP applications directly. Their services page still groups it with 'NEM 3.0 & SELCO programme applications', which Solar ATAP replaced on 1 January 2026.
• Ask for the specific panel and inverter brands planned for your system and the warranty terms in writing — the website only says it offers 'warranty support for all systems' without giving terms.
• It describes itself as 'Malaysia's Solar Pioneer since 2000' though it says it was incorporated in 1996 — worth asking it to clarify its actual years of solar-specific experience.
