About Maxis Home Solar

Maxis Green Solutions Sdn Bhd is the entity behind Maxis Home Solar, a residential-only solar programme run by Malaysian telco Maxis for homeowners with landed property across Peninsular Malaysia. It offers three pre-set system-size bands matched to a household's electricity usage: 7.3 - 9.3kWp for a small house, 9.9 - 12.4kWp for a medium house, and 13.0 - 17.4kWp for a large house.

It offers two ways to go solar: outright purchase, or a subscription plan it says starts from RM260 per month with no ownership. at the time of checking, its website advertised a limited-time 'Program SuRIA' promotion offering RM 8,000 off outright purchase or 10 months free on the subscription plan. Signing up starts with a home consultation to design a customised system, followed by installation and a wait for TNB to upgrade the customer's smart meter.

It says its plans include the solar panel, inverter, system monitoring, maintenance, customer support, warranty coverage and insurance, and separately promises 'full maintenance, insurance, and warranty support,' though no specific warranty duration, terms, or panel/inverter brand is published. It also advertises savings of up to 25% on electricity bills, a company estimate it says will vary by home.
