About Samaiden

Samaiden is an engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) contractor for renewable energy projects, headquartered in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. Its principal subsidiary, Samaiden Sdn Bhd, was founded in 2013 and became the origin of what has grown into publicly listed Samaiden Group Berhad, listed on Bursa Malaysia's Main Market since 2023. It handles solar photovoltaic systems for homes, businesses and large-scale projects, alongside biomass, biogas, mini hydro and waste-to-energy work.

The group says it has completed more than 200 projects and reduced more than 200 million kg of CO2. Its published commercial and industrial project list includes a 38,000kWp system in Batu Pahat, Johor for a textiles manufacturer, a 2,112kWp system in Phnom Penh, Cambodia for an apparel manufacturer, and a 1,503kWp project in Gurun, Kedah, down to residential systems as small as 3kWp in Chemor, Perak. It won the ASEAN Energy Award in 2017 and has received several other business and ESG awards since.

Samaiden offers power purchase agreements (PPAs) under which it or its investors own the solar equipment while the client buys the electricity produced, and it advertises services under Malaysia's Solar ATAP, SELCO and Feed-in Tariff (FiT) programmes. Its website doesn't name the solar panel brand it installs, though it lists Huawei as a partner. It says it offers 'comprehensive warranties and after-sales support' but doesn't publish specific terms or durations.
