Toonex Energia Sdn. Bhd. is a Bukit Mertajam, Penang-based engineering and energy company officially founded in 2025, though it says its roots trace back to 2007 through predecessor firms. It specialises in solar farm installation, medium-voltage (up to 33kV) systems, cable laying and jointing, compact substations, overhead cabling, civil works and industrial wiring, according to its website. It holds CIDB G5 and G7 contractor grades and is registered as a TNB Class A contractor.

The company traces its roots to 2007, when affiliated firm Balaji Galaxy Enterprise wired gas bottling plants for Petronas Perdagangan in Bintulu, Port Klang and Kerteh. Balaji Galaxy later worked on the Sungai Buloh–Damansara MRT line's electrical systems (2011) and sub-main cabling at Malaysia Airlines' KLIA facility (2015), before co-founding Balrem Engineering Sdn. Bhd. in 2017. Toonex Energia itself launched in 2025; its project gallery separately shows solar cable termination work for First Solar in Kulim, an installation at Arau, Perlis, and captions citing 50MWac, 30MWac, 20MWac and 116MWdc solar capacities, though it isn't clear which entity carried out that specific work.
