About Yongyang Solaroof
Yongyang (trading as Yongyang Solaroof) is a Prai, Penang-based renewable energy and roofing company whose roots go back to 1986 as a roofing provider; today it offers end-to-end EPCC solar services — covering solar PV, battery storage, EV charging and roofing — for residential, commercial, industrial and utility-scale customers across Malaysia. It says it is credentialed with CIDB, Suruhanjaya Tenaga and SEDA, and operates under ISO 9001:2015 quality management.
Its published portfolio includes an unnamed agricultural client's solar infrastructure deployment across Penang and Kedah, a solar transition for an unnamed electronics manufacturer in Penang pursuing ESG goals, and a solar integration project for an unnamed business hotel — none of the case studies name the client or state a system size. Its stated goal is to power a million spaces by 2030 as part of its broader sustainability mission.
For businesses, Yongyang says GITA and Capital Allowance incentives can together offer up to 48% in tax deductions on solar investment, and it offers Power Purchase Agreements through its partners for customers wanting zero upfront investment — worth clarifying contract length and ownership terms before signing. Its website doesn't name a specific panel or inverter brand or publish product warranty terms.
