About Hasilwan
Hasilwan is a Malaysian engineering group that says it has more than three decades of experience in power grid infrastructure (transmission and distribution), and has diversified into renewable energy, battery energy storage (BESS), energy efficiency and low-carbon mobility. Its website says it was founded in 1989 as a power infrastructure contractor. It serves utilities, data centres, industrial complexes, large commercial buildings, and government and municipal clients — its website doesn't describe residential rooftop solar.
According to its published timeline, it expanded into substation and grid-modernisation work from 2010, diversified into renewable energy (solar and hydro) in 2012, added an energy-efficiency division in 2020, and launched energy storage and low-carbon mobility solutions in 2023; by 2025 it says it was expanding regionally and preparing for an IPO. Its featured projects include EPCC and maintenance of a 1,373.68 kWp commercial solar system for a tolled expressway, a 1,065.74 kWp system across two public facility sites for a city municipal authority in Kuala Lumpur, and a 98.28 kWp commercial solar system paired with battery storage and a 60kW EV DC fast charger for a national utility's vehicle fleet division.
It also offers a zero-CAPEX Green Energy-as-a-Service model — power purchase agreements for solar, energy performance contracts for efficiency projects, and EV charging infrastructure — for commercial and industrial clients who don't want to pay upfront. Its listed compliance covers SEDA RPVSP registration, ST Class A and ST ESCO licences, TNB GCQP and CIDB G7. It doesn't publish panel, inverter or battery brand names, or describe a home-solar quote process.

Before you get a quote from Hasilwan
- Hasilwan's published work is almost entirely commercial, industrial and utility-scale — confirm it takes on home rooftop jobs before requesting a residential quote.
- Ask for the panel, inverter and battery brands it uses; none are named on its website.
- Ask whether your project would go through outright purchase or its Green EaaS zero-CAPEX PPA model, and get the contract length and ownership terms in writing.
- If you're a homeowner, confirm whether it can service smaller net-metering systems and whether the application would go through Solar ATAP, which replaced NEM 3.0 on 1 January 2026.
