About Komasi Engineering

Komasi Engineering Sdn. Bhd. (formerly Komasi Communications Sdn Bhd) is a Johor Bahru-based utility engineering contractor operating since 1990, specialising in cable networks for telecommunications, power and horizontal directional drilling (HDD). It expanded into gas pipeline work in 2012, and its site says it is more recently extending into renewable energy, water and other utilities, offering solar PV system design and installation alongside its established utility services.

The company says it has completed more than RM600 million worth of contracts since its establishment, including more than RM200 million with Telekom, over RM100 million for other telecom operators such as Celcom, Maxis and Time, and more than RM300 million in Horizontal Directional Drilling contracts for Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) since 2015. Its website gives no examples, capacities or client names specifically for its Solar PV work, which it describes only as design and installation services 'tailored to meet your needs'.

Komasi holds ISO 9001:2015 certification since February 2006 and says it is working toward ISO 45001 for occupational health and safety. It operates a head office in Johor Bahru with branch offices in Shah Alam, Selangor and Kuala Terengganu, and site offices in Negeri Sembilan, Melaka and Kota Kinabalu, though the site does not say which of these handle solar work specifically.
