System Protection & Maintenance Sdn Bhd (SPM), based in Shah Alam, Selangor, with a branch in Penampang, Sabah, is an EPCC (engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning) contractor for electrical projects. It specialises in power plants, sub-stations, and oil & gas and industrial facilities, and says it was established in 1984 and has completed sizeable contracts within Malaysia and overseas.

It lists major clients including Tenaga Nasional Berhad and Petronas, and international manufacturers such as ABB, Siemens and Toshiba, and says it co-owns a 20 MW hydro power plant in Aceh, Indonesia, operating since September 2019. Its named power-plant contracts include the Janamanjung, Tanjung Bin and Jimah coal-fired stations. Its website describes renewable energy — including solar, biomass and biogas — as a niche segment it is "eyeing into" for future projects, rather than an established service line.

It has been ISO 9001 certified since 2004, and is also certified to ISO 45001 and ISO 14001. Its website states a goal of becoming an "established EPCC Contractor in the Power Sector, Owner and Operator of Renewable Energy Power Plants within ASEAN by year 2025," but gives no update on progress and doesn't name any completed solar projects, brands or capacities.
