About Gading Kencana

Gading Kencana Sdn. Bhd. is a Shah Alam-based renewable energy company that says it was incorporated in 1993 and became active in 1998 as an electrical works, transmission cabling and energy management contractor. It has since grown into a solar photovoltaic and mini-hydro generation company, and says it is the first Malaysian solar PV service provider to hold ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 certification. Its work spans standalone, hybrid and grid-connected systems for residential, commercial and industrial customers, plus large-scale solar farm development.

Gading Kencana says it supplied a 536 kWp net-energy-metering solar PV system for a Robert Bosch plant in Penang in 2011, and what it calls Malaysia's largest integrated rooftop solar PV system at the time — a 2 MW system for PEPS-JV (M) Sdn Bhd in Batang Kali, Selangor — in 2013, alongside exporting 1MW of solar modules to Japan that same year. It completed an 8MW solar farm in Ayer Keroh, Melaka in November 2014, then a larger solar farm in Jeram Mengkuang, Bidor, Perak, which its milestones page lists as 30MW completed in 2018. The company describes its annual turnover as exceeding RM 30 million and calls itself a four-star CIDB contractor.

Gading Kencana markets a residential and commercial rooftop programme it calls 'Sun2Cash,' and says it has provided continual maintenance for solar PV systems sold since 2011. Its headquarters in Shah Alam doubles as a Building Integrated Photovoltaic (BIPV) demonstration centre showcasing different panel technologies. The site does not name specific panel or inverter brands, publish warranty terms, or mention financing or leasing options — worth asking about directly before signing anything.
